Who even are these people?
John Hutchinson established Swiftkick Web in 2011* as a solo side hustle developing a handful of WordPress and Drupal sites or the occasional Ruby on Rails app. At the time, John was working full time with a large-scale international team building and maintaining Estee Lauder Companies' e-commerce platform. After almost ten years of launching e-commerce sites across the globe, from esteelauder.com to maccosmetics.de, jomalone.co.uk to clinique.jp, labseries, smashbox, bobbibrown, by kilian, and on and on; sites which have collectively pulled in billions of dollars in revenue, John said goodbye to the team at ELC and decided to put his energy into building Swiftkick Web.
Fast forward a few years and SKW, after bringing on several of the immensely talented veteran developers from the old ELC group, is now a focused nimble team of professionals bolstered by an extensive network of experts, designers, technicians, and vendor partners that cover every aspect of modern web development.
Collectively, the team at Swiftkick has designed, developed, managed, or maintained just about every piece of web technology out there. Some of our accomplishments include:
Building product catalogs and style guides, account pages and full custom checkouts.
Growing successful, happy Scrum teams across several time zones, scaling them up with Scrum Nexus, and still continuing to release program increments and MVPs on or ahead of schedule every two weeks.
Consulting for business and education on how to work, learn, and build community remotely.
Running ADA Accessibility remediation campaigns, analytics and SEO campaigns, digital advertising campaigns, even donating time to a political campaign or two.
Migrating vanilla JS over to script.acul.us, script.acul.us to jQuery, jQuery to React and Vue.js, and React and Vue.js back to vanilla JS.;
Building and managing Shopify Plus sites, BigCommerce sites, SquareSpace and Wix sites, and it’s rumored that one of us still maintains a GeoCities web ring.
We’ve been around awhile. We’re really good at building websites. If you’re unsatisfied with your online presence, in whatever form, give us a shout. We’re more than happy to help.
